okay. i really don’t think anyone will ever understand my feelings for this moment and maybe i just read into it too much but i love the fact that edward is the first one running out in that field. his face when he sees the head of the man who was practically his father and raised him through his vampire years just breaks my heart. it’s just that i feel that edward and carlisle have a bond that none of the other cullens have together (including esme). edward was the first human carlisle changed and I just feel that they have a special relationship with each other that none of the other cullens will ever understand. they have been through a lot together and their father and son relationship will always be something that speaks to me. so the fact that edward is really the one to start the ‘battle’, it really hits me in the feels.
